Sometimes the most beautiful stories begin in the smallest corners – and so does the story of anilino. It all started in a cozy attic apartment in the heart of Hamburg. There, nestled between the sloping roof, stood an old sewing machine and a box of fabric, ready for the adventure I couldn't have imagined back then.
With a great deal of passion and a wealth of creative ideas, I founded my small business. The first products, nautical-themed items, were created over countless hours spent at my old sewing machine. But soon my desire grew to do more with my ideas. Shortly after founding the company, my first embroidery machine arrived – a simple single-needle machine that brought my designs to life.
Then a new chapter in my life began: My wedding was approaching, and we moved into our new home in Schenefeld. The house not only offered space for our growing family but also for my passion. After the birth of our first son, I felt the desire to further expand anilino. I broadened my product range and focused on personalized baby gifts – a decision that would prove to be absolutely right.
With increasing demand, my small embroidery machine quickly reached its limits. It was time for a change: a professional 10-needle embroidery machine arrived, and anilino continued to gain momentum. To continue processing all orders on time and with the usual care, I needed support. Two wonderful freelance seamstresses joined the team and helped me manage the growing number of orders.
But the growth didn't stop. Shortly before the birth of my second son, demand was so high that a second large embroidery machine became necessary. With this expansion, anilino continued to develop, and I realized it was time to take the next step. The volume of orders soon exceeded the capacity of our small team, and I found a fantastic company in southern Germany that supports us in the production of our muslin scarves.
What began with just a few scarves has grown into a production of several thousand. The collaboration with the team in Ulm has not only resulted in a successful partnership, but also a close friendship. Together, we will continue to provide you with lovingly personalized products quickly and reliably.
Today, anilino is more than just a small company. I'm no longer alone at the embroidery machines. I have a dedicated employee by my side who works with me every day to process your wonderful orders, lovingly embroider them, package them, and send them on their way to you.
I look back on this journey with gratitude and look forward to everything that lies ahead.
